Overview Of The Countdown Timer
How To Do The Countdown Timer
You sometimes see Countdown timers on sales pages or offer pages.
The idea is that there is real scarcity which helps people to make a decision quickly whether to buy or join or sign-up …. whatever it is you are asking them to do on your landing page.
It’s best if the scarcity is real because no-one likes false scarcity.
You can use this countdown timer to indicate a time limit on your sales page. So say your sales page offer is three days from now, on the Apr 01, 2017, that would be a real date in the future. You’d set the countdown timer to end specifically on that date.
The countdown timer will then countdown until Apr 01, 2017. When that time is reached your deal is over. It will be up to you to act on this and take the page down or change the price at the deadline.
As a precaution, when the countdown timer reaches zero, it will automatically disappear to avoid it displaying with zeroes and making your page look as if it has been abandoned.
