Using Parallax Pro With Black And White Images
Or rather, how to make a color image appear in black and white and only reveal its color when someone hovers over is.
This can work for a black and white styled site where to preserve the monochromatic look, you keep the images black and white. This prevents the site from appearing cluttered with extra colors.
But then when the user is not expecting it, an accidental hover on an image returns the color momentarily.
Then after a few seconds – how long is up to you – the hovered image loses its color and goes back to black and white.
- Genesis Extender plugin is used to add the custom CSS.
- Parallax Pro theme was used in the demo, although you should be able to use any Genesis child theme with this blueprint.
